Dear Santa...

I mentioned to Cohen that we should write a letter to Santa.....and ever since i did, he has not stopped asking me. So we finally did. He was so cute.

He knew exactly what he wanted. He didn't ask for a lot or anything outragous.
He did a great job writing, but then asked for a little help.
After he finished telling me what to write he said "thats all". It was so dang cute.
He then signed his name.

Oh Christmas Tree.....

We have made it a family tradition to go pick out our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. Cohen obviously was thrilled. Bosten had gotten into one of his moods and DID NOT and would not get out of the car.

Cohen loved running through the trees and helping us pick the perfect one.

Zoo at Thanksgiving time

We headed up to the zoo the day before Thanksgiving. Cohen and Bosten really wanted to invite their cousins Collin and Carter and Gma Katy. So we all piled in and headed on up!
It was cold, but the kids loved running around. With the winter upon us, its getting harder and harder for me to entertain the kiddos indoors all day, so the zoo was perfect.

Where's Jagger?? Snug as a bug.

Most of the animals were inside and we were sad the elephants weren't out. We had been talking about the new baby elephant and really wanted to to see it.

Collin and Carter especially liked the Cougars. (byu fans)

I tried to dodge the carousel, but Gma was more than happy to take them on it. Each kid chose the animal they wanted. Carter had a really hard time choosing and finally found this Donkey-zebra thing far from everyone else.

On the way out we were so happy to see that the Elephants had mosied on out.

Goodbye zoo, see ya when its warmer.

Simple Graditude

Cohen had a pie party at school the other day for Thanksgiving.

He was allowed to invite 2 grown-ups. I was thrilled to go. He had been talking about the party and practicing the "turkey" song for a while.
I walked in and on a wall were pictures of what the kids had said they were thankful for.
This is what Cohen had drawn and said:

I loved it. He truly is so thankful for that.
He asks James all the time to play "zero to zero" (his version of one on one).
The other kids had said some darling things as well and they were so simple. They really can put things into a different perspective. They have such simple graditude. It has really made me think of all the simple little things i am grateful for at this time.

After all the "grown-ups" had arrived the kids sang this darling turkey song and then they served us pie. (you will have to ask Cohen to sing it for you when you see him, so cute!)

Isn't he the cutest little server?!!

The party was a great start to our wonderful Thanksgiving Week!

Cohen is growing up so fast and is learning so much. He is constantly spelling and writing. He is even starting to read. He amazes me everyday with something new. We are so happy with his teacher and her preschool. I can't believe my little boy is getting so big.tear.

NEW freakin MOON!!

Loved Loved Loved it.

Not much more to say......however, I am torn. May need to change my shirt to

Team Jacob.
I know, I know. How could i have possibly be torn.
Well first off, have you SEEN Jacob? wow. 'nough said.
In the books i was so Edward, Edward. But the movie really shows how much Jacob really cares about her. I seriously almost cried 4 or 5 times.
My throat was starting to hurt as i was holding back the tears.

Well I am off to see it a 2nd time. can't wait. I did pay for this private screening back in freak'in March. yes march. Im a loser.

Way cooler pictures to come. just you wait.

OOOW...my eyes hurt

Poor little dude told me his eyes hurt as he was going down for a nap. Being the sensitive person that i am....i gave him a few eye drops to satisfy his pain.
He wakes up 2 hrs later crying and looking like this........

I felt so bad. What a horrible mother. I thought he just didn't want to take a nap.
I was pretty sure he had Pink Eye, but i still rushed him to the dr, since the on-set was so fast.

Sure enough pink eye. 2gtts in each eye BID x 5days. contagious for 24hrs.

24hrs later.......

ALL BETTER!!

**on a side note, i wasn't able to see my regular pediatrican and had to see another dr. Horrible experience. I will never go to him again and i am writing a letter about him. If you go to alpine peds DO NOT SEE Dr. Knorr. Seriously he was the biggest jerk. eoungh said. plus its a long story.
