Daddy Cohen Date... (As Blogged By James)

One of my New Year's Resolution's is to spend more one on one time with the boys.  My parents gave me the perfect opportunity to start the New Year by taking Cohen to the Jazz autograph party.  Each season ticket holder gets a ticket each year to go to the Energy Solutions Arena and have the Jazz players autograph one item.  Thank you mom and dad for your ticket!!
Cohen and I started the night out by driving down to the EAS to get there early and stop at the FANZZ store to get something for the players to sign.  Cohen chose a very cool Jazz ball. We then waited in line to get into the arena.
Cohen is a HUGE Jazz fan, he knows every players name and number.  He was so excited to be able to meet the players that he watches and cheers so loud for, and to be able to have them sign his ball was a highlight for him.
When the doors opened and we were able to get into the arena it was ON.  They have 2 players sitting at tables all around the concourses of the arena.  We headed upstairs first and the first table we stopped at was 2 of Cohen's favorite players, Memo (Money Man) Okur and Andrei (AK) Kerelinko.  To be able to watch his little face light up as he handed the ball to some of his hero's was something that I won't forget.
As we moved through the tables you had to wait in lines, some that were pretty long.  Cohen and I passed the time by playing pass, shooting hoops, and talking about the players who's lines we were waiting in. For the first time in a while, Cohen did not mind standing and waiting in line.
The Jazz players only sign autographs for an hour and a half.  We were able to get to most of the players and have them sign our ball.  Unfortunately for us, Deron Williams was not there that night and Cohen really wanted to get his autograph, but it was still an awesome experience and Cohen and I loved every minute of it.
After we left the autograph party, we were pretty hungry.  I asked Cohen what he wanted to eat and he chose RIBS!!!! (A boy after my own heart!!)  We drove to Texas Roadhouse where we both ordered up a rack of Ribs and talked about the Jazz. It was an incredible night and I have an incredible son.
Thank you to my parents for feeding my son's Jazz addiction.  Thank you to Cami for letting us go and have some one on one time.  A HUGE thank you to Cohen for being such an amazing kid.
Pics via phone. not the greatest, but it works for preserving the memories.
