Happy 28th Birthday to ME!

Yep another birthday has crept up on me and I am now the rip old age of 28.

28? Really it seems so old.  

But i still feel like im 21 or so, so i take that as a good sign :)

James is always so thoughtful and really puts a lot into my birthday (i love birthdays, if you didn't know)

and this year he really surprised me.

The week before my bday he had to go to Chicago for work, so he surprised me and flew me out to meet him for the weekend! 

Just me and him in CHI-TOWN. 

We stayed at a really cool historic hotel called THE DRAKE and it was right on Michigan Ave, which has the best shopping a girl could ever imagine.

A 3-story H&M......this was our first stop of course.

 A 4-story Crate & Barrel, another must stop.

 And i of course let James go shopping at Nike Town.

 I kept telling James that when we have our baby Girl, we will have to make a special trip back for this store.

The "Windy City" was true to its name with wind and raining off and on, but we toughed it out and we I shopped us till we dropped.  James was of course a great sport and kept telling me it was my birthday so i can do and eat whatever i wanted!   (and boy did i eat)

James also surprised me with BLUE MAN GROUP tickets.  I was super excited and the show was really fun!

 So many self portraits of ourselves. We are nerds.

 The hotel's elevators had huge mirrors in them with a bench to sit on.  Apparently people cant stand for the 60 seconds it takes to get to their floor.

We only rode the elevator a couple times, because i would make james walk the 5 flights of stairs to our room.  He was not thrilled. Hey with all the food i was throwing down, i needed to take the stairs.

*We had a fabulous time and james planned a great trip.  Did i mention he even figured out babysitting too??? I know right?  Awesome. He never ceases to amaze me.  I love him to death and fall more and more in love everyday and (birthday ...j/k).
